Looking to Sell Your Saugerties Home ?
Saugerties lies between the Catskill mountains and the Hudson River in Northern Ulster County. The north town line is the border of Greene County, and the east town line, marked by the Hudson River, is the border of Dutchess County. Saugerties was the home of the second Woodstock Music Festival, following in the footsteps of the original Woodstock Festival. Saugerties is also the home of many other annual events, including HITS (Horse Shows in the Sun) and the Hudson Valley Garlic Festival. The Plattekill Creek meanders through the town and empties into the Esopus. The Esopus then flows through the charming and historic Saugerties village and empties into the Hudson near the Saugerties Lighthouse, built 1869. Kaaterskill Creek flows along the north border. A steam ferry connects with the Hudson River Railroad at Tivoli.
