The Town of Wawarsing sits at south western corner of Ulster County on the border of Sullivan County. It has a long history that includes the Delaware Hudson Canal, the historic Cragsmoor Arts Colony and the neighboring Village of Ellenville, (see above). There are fun restaurants nearby, the Shadowland Theatre, shopping, and two walkable areas, Ellenville and Wawarsing. For outdoor fun and excitement there is world class hang-gliding, rock climbing and great hiking at the adjacent Sam’s Point Preserve/Nature Conservancy.
