Located in the southern portion of Ulster County, gateway to the Catskill and Shawangunk Mountains, the Town of Plattekill is home to just over 10,000 residents and consists of five small hamlets including, Ardonia, Clintondale, Modena, Plattekill and New Hurley. The town is comprised of many small businesses and rolling farmland particularly known for its apple orchards. Plattekill provides a number of activities such as you pick farms, tours of area wineries, or hiking at the nearby Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Preserve. It is just a short ride to the Walkway Over the Hudson, fun shopping and restaurants in New Paltz or a horseback ride and indoor waterpark at the Rocking Horse Ranch. Plattekill has easy access to the NYS Thruway and is less than one hour and thirty minutes from NYC.
